Having had the privilege of serving more than 500 doctors in Singapore over the past 10 years, Dr Chow has collected unique insights into the needs and wants of his fellow doctors. He decided to set up “The Doctor Card”, an exclusive invite-only membership for doctors, to bring them curated doctor-centric services, special perks, benefits and private event invites, to name a few.
Dr. Chow U-Jin is a well-rounded and accomplished professional with 25 years of experience in various fields. He started his career as a medical doctor, training to be a surgeon in the midst of the SARS pandemic in 2002. An opportunity arose overseas to set up businesses including Singapore’s first medical tourism company sending patients to Thailand for medical and aesthetic treatments. He continued his entrepreneurial journey in Singapore, setting up surgical centres, radiology centres and medical and aesthetic clinics as well as non-healthcare businesses in the hospitality sector.
He then ventured into finance, headhunted to work as a private banker in a regional bank, serving exclusively healthcare professionals for all their investments and borrowing needs, including funding USD$500M of loans for doctors purchasing medical suites at all major hospitals in Singapore. He also raised funds for early stage healthcare companies.
With more than 25 years of experience under his belt, he now operates his own private consultancy, helping doctors navigate the challenges of their careers and businesses. Through his diverse background, Dr. Chow has developed a unique perspective and skill set that makes him well-equipped to help doctors succeed in all aspects of their careers.
